Bicycles: Lefty

cannondale lefty MTB

Near Hakata Station.

I have a Cannondale similar to the one in the picture, although a trained eye would notice that our frames are different and his bike has the benefit of wheels.
Getting mine up and running has been on the back burner for a while, mainly due to parts being around 40% more than prices in America. Used parts are also hard to find as DIY culture, and selling and buying through classifieds isn’t really popular in Japan.
Kind of miss trawling through the “For Sale” ads looking for a bargain.

*For mechanically minded visitors.
The bike will be used for single track and exploring the coastline. I have to ride on the road a fair bit to get to the trails so it will end up being a bit of a Frankenstein.

I have a front hub, and will get the front wheel built locally. It’s a toss up between Velocity Blunt 29ers or Stan’s Arches.
The rest of the will be made up of parts that I can buy and repair easily. Most likely Shimano.
Thinking of buying a set of On-One Mary Bars. Would be interested to hear from anyone using them with a Lefty.
