		<description>Stephen, nice shot.  I agree this looks much more interesting in B&amp;W.  The doll becomes the primary subject, whereas in color my eye moves around a bit aimlessly.</description>

Yes, that is what usually happens, especially with clashing colours.

Added a link with a side by side image in the text with the main photograph. 

Although the items in the colour photograph have similar tones of brown and red, my eye goes to the race car first, then glances to the empty space, then to the doll, and  winds along from the paper clips.

In black and white, I want the doll to be the main point of focus, framed with black and white shapes, an anchor point where the eye returns to study the details in the facial features, muscle tone and bandages.</description>

I&#039;m no expert at this, but sometimes photos are made in black and white to get focus, am I right? If this photo had been in color it would have had a lot of colors and I would probably focus on each individual item in turn, instead of see the whole picture, right?</description>
